Most homes don't have perfectly straight walls. To ensure your kitchen worktops sit flush without unsightly gaps, we use two key techniques:

Scribing: This is where we tailor the back edge of the stone to follow the exact profile of your wall.
Notching: For intricate areas like window cills or pillars, we use "notches" to wrap the stone seamlessly around architectural features.
Tolerances: We work to exacting standards. If you have no wall covering, we aim for a tight fit of up to 2mm. If you are using upstands or cladding, we can accommodate gaps up to 12mm for a clean, professional finish.

2. Seamless Joins & Corners

The way two pieces of stone meet is a hallmark of quality.

Mason’s Mitres: Required for moulded edge profiles, these ensure the pattern and shape turn corners beautifully.

Join Width: Our typical site joins are a discreet 2–3mm, ensuring they are as unobtrusive as possible.

Internal Radii: To maintain the strength of your quartz worktops, we use specific minimum radius sizes for internal corners (starting from 15mm for flat polished edges) to ensure a smooth, premium look.
