Minerox is our exclusive premium quartz surface, made from a blend of natural quartz minerals (typically 90–94%), aggregates including recycled materials, and clean resins that bond the slab. It's designed, manufactured and installed by Gemini Worktops in the UK - no middlemen, no third-party fabricators.

Our manufacturing process involves sourcing the purest quartz minerals directly from our quarries and combining them with top-quality aggregates (recycled where possible), specialist pigments for colour, and clean resins to create a stunning, sustainable and long-lasting surface.

Once you decide to purchase quartz worktops from Gemini Worktops, our team of experts will come to your home to take a precise template of the worktops or island using the latest laser technology. This process typically takes between 1 and 3 hours, during which our skilled team will measure the kitchen units, sinks, hobs, and any other necessary features for your design. Our templating team provides comprehensive coverage across the entire UK, but we do require your presence on-site to finalise all details and sign off on the template.

Once the laser template is completed, it is emailed to our technical department and prepared for the production of your Gemini Worktops. After the template, our Gemini team will contact you to ensure that everything went smoothly and discuss the next steps with you. We will also inform you of any changes made during the template that may affect the initial quotation and confirm the final price with you before proceeding with production. Gemini Worktops manage the whole process for you, ensuring an easy and enjoyable experience whilst bringing your dream kitchen to life.

Because our manufacturing facility is located in the UK, customers can expect a speedy turnaround from template to fitting. In fact, typically our fitting team can install your new Quartz kitchen worktops within just 2 weeks from template. Despite this fast service Gemini Worktops always prioritises quality and ensures that every worktop is finished to an exceptional standard.

All Minerox Quartz worktops are manufactured using state-of-the-art CNC technology before being expertly hand finished. We will not compromise on our quality standards but we do promise that we work with all our customers to meet time sensitive installation dates.

Please note seasonally busy periods of the year, especially November and December may involve slightly longer lead times. We recommend customers book their template dates as early as possible for pre-Christmas installation.

Unlike other types of surfaces, quartz countertops do not require sealing or waxing and can remain a beautiful feature in your home for years to come if properly cared for. It's recommended to promptly wipe up spills and avoid placing extremely hot pans directly onto quartz worktops. 

However, in case of accidents, it's best to use a non-abrasive cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend or simply soap and water to wipe away any spills. Follow our quartz care and maintenance guidelines in order to keep the appearance of your worksurface in perfect condition.

Quartz worktops are engineered stone surfaces made from approximately 90–95% natural ground quartz combined with polymer resins and pigments. This manufacturing process creates a non-porous, highly durable surface that is resistant to stains, scratches, and heat, making it a low-maintenance alternative to natural stones like granite or marble.

Quartz worktops are heat resistant and can withstand brief exposure to moderately hot temperatures up to around 150°C. However, they are not completely heatproof because the polymer resins can be damaged by extreme heat. We always recommend using a trivet or hot pad for pans directly from the hob or oven.
