Mailen Design has masterfully developed Lee Terrace, a new-build family home in Blackheath, South East London. Situated within a historic conservation area, the project transforms a former triple-garage infill into a beautifully designed, free-standing three-bedroom residence. Inspired by traditional mews houses, the architecture balances modern refinement with respect for its surroundings, aligning harmoniously with the adjacent Grade II listed Victorian properties.

The kitchen at Lee Terrace is a true masterpiece, blending contemporary design with timeless elegance. At its core is our Minerox Calacatta Gold Superior quartz worktop, a statement of sophistication and durability. With its exquisite veining and luxurious marble-inspired aesthetic, this engineered stone enhances the kitchen’s refined yet inviting atmosphere.

he placement of the U-shaped kitchen optimises workflow, allowing for an intuitive and effortless cooking experience while still remaining open to the adjacent living and dining areas. The careful choice of materials - deep forest-green cabinetry, warm oak joinery, and sleek quartz worktop surfaces - adds depth and character, while the expansive glazing ensures a constant dialogue between indoors and out.

Designed for both beauty and practicality, the Minerox Calacatta Gold Superior worktop forms the centrepiece of the kitchen, elegantly contrasting against the rich cabinetry. Its polished surface reflects the natural light streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, enhancing the sense of openness and airiness. 

The striking interplay of materials - herringbone parquet flooring underfoot, exposed concrete overhead, and meticulously crafted joinery - highlights the quartz’s unique ability to tie the space together harmoniously. The seamless integration of textures and colours ensures that the kitchen doesn’t just serve as a functional space but as an experience in itself, where form and function coexist beautifully.
